Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) is dedicated to exhibiting and collecting the work of contemporary artists from Australia and across the globe and is home to a diverse series of exhibitions and special events.
AKA has been working with the MCA over two successive summer seasons; including the record-breaking Pipilotti Rist exhibition Sip My Ocean, and David Goldblatt: Photographs 1948–2018, the largest retrospective of the photographer’s work in the region, capturing the rise and dismantling of Apartheid.
In providing media strategy and buying, AKA worked with the MCA to open new channels of distribution and engagement. Our localised digital targeting allowed us to zero-in on audiences at a micro-geographic level (within less than 1km), and to bring this evolving technology to bear on potential visitors travelling from inter-state - a key KPI for the Museum’s Sydney International Art Series. We additionally introduced paid media presence across streaming television and podcast networks, to widen the reach of the overall marketing campaign within target demographics.
