Little Shop of Horrors

The branding for the Australian tour of Little Shop of Horrors was a collaboration between AKA Australia and AKA UK using photos supplied from photographer Jeff Busby.  The challenge was to bring Little Shop of Horrors to a modern audience, referencing pulp horror and B-movies in a “filmic” style, whilst ensuring that audiences still knew that it was a new stage production. 

AKA managed the full-service campaign for the Australian tour including creative, media, digital, content, partnerships and promotions.  Highlights included a tribute video to composer Alan Menken  in collaboration with The Daily Review. The video featuring Esther Hannaford recording Colours of the Wind from Pocahontas (one of the classic films scored by Menken), allowing us to engage traditional musical theatre audiences and Disney fans, reminding them of Menken’s amazing body of work.
