Yesterday the elephants from Circus 1903 made their world first appearance at the Circus 1903 Media Launch and Naming Ceremony.
Captivating spectators with their life-like movements, Queenie the Elephant and her boisterous baby boy, Karanga, took the media by storm and transported onlookers back to the golden age of circus.
Amongst the crowd was Bridget Murphy and her daughter, Imogen, who won the nationwide competition to name the baby elephant puppet. Everyone here at AKA went nuts for the name Karanga, which is Swahili for peanut!
With Circus 1903 opening in Canberra in a week’s time, we can’t wait for audiences to be mesmerised, amazed and captivated by this thrilling turn of the century circus spectacular!
