Carole King is undoubtedly a trailblazer. For decades she held the title of the most successful songwriter in the U.S. and was the first woman to win the prestigious ‘Song of The Year’ at the Grammys (for "You've Got a Friend"). To promote the opening of Beautiful in Sydney later this month, the AKA Australia team have created a content series featuring trailblazing Australian women - all of whom have their own inspiring story to tell and were in some way inspired by Carole King and her music.
Shooting began this week with journalists Mellisa Hoyer (pictured) and Tracey Grimshaw; entrepreneur and media personality Deborah Hutton; broadcasters Susie Elelman (pictured) and Mellissa Doyle; and continues next week with legendary Australian businesswoman Ita Buttrose AO OBE and businesswoman and philanthropist Lucy Turnbull AO (who is also the wife of Malcolm Turnbull, Prime Minister of Australia). It’s an illustrious cast with some great stories to tell – and we look forward to sharing them with you soon!
